When we think back on our childhood years we realize that we got our exercise when we were playing. We ran after each other playing sports on the play ground, or we ran through the neighborhood with our friends playing different games. We enjoyed what we were doing because we were having fun. It's apparent today that kids staying active is the exception. The statistics are staggering, so many of the youth today in the United States are not just overweight, they are obese. That means that there weight is posing a threat to there health. And unfortunately overweight kids become overweight unhealthy adults. Parents play the most important role in keeping there children active and healthy. Exercise, proper nutrition, and good eating habits learned as a child will mean a long, active, and healthy life as an adult. Resistance training will assist your child to build strength, improve motor skills, prevent injuries, and aid in emotional balance.
