"It was almost 3 years ago when I made the decision that I wanted to make some major changes to my life. "The day I started to train with Lance, was my lucky day. I was first impressed with his commitment to the health and well being of others. And his broad knowledge of the muscular-skeletal system, nutrition, and how to eat and train to maximize fitness and good health. I had a mastectomy 3 months before I started training with Lance. My lymph nodes were removed and a lot of muscle was cut. My range of motion was narrow, even after having physical therapy. Lance knew what to do to help me regain full range of motion in my arm. He introduced me to resistance training and correct stretching techniques. A year later my abdominal muscles were surgically used for breast reconstruction. "I am a working mother of two and have been an avid exerciser my whole life. I do yoga, pilaties, and weight training. I had been maintaining a good fitness level for years but wanted to see more results. On my initial meeting with Lance we discussed my goals and current diet. He tested my body fat, which measured 17.5%, which is considered good for a 39 year old woman who weighed 122lbs. I stressed that I wanted to reduce my body fat but I also wanted to put on lean muscle because I wasn't looking to lose weight. He advised me that what we will be doing with diet and exercise that I would not lose that much weight, maybe a pound or two. And you know what, only after three sessions with Lance and making the adjustments in my diet, I lost three pounds (down to 119) and my body fat went from 17.5% to 14.5%. When we tested my body fat at the end of eight sessions it had gone down to 13.5% which is considered excellent. I credited the fat loss to the exercise program and to the changes in my eating habits. I always knew how to eat right but Lance told me exactly what to eat to make sure I was eating complete proteins, good essential fats, and smart carbs (low glycemic index, whole foods) and you know what I enjoy the foods because they taste good and I feel great!
